Crucible has a reputation for providing high intensity, practical and relevant training. We are 100% fad-free in our approach; our curriculum evolves as operational requirements do. We rely on tactical lessons learned as a basis for evolution, not competitive events. Crucible training instills the mindset, tactics, techniques and procedures necessary to mitigate startle dysfunctions and prevail in dangerous circumstances.
Regardless of the course – driver training, combatives, firearms or IPM’s – students appreciate our straightforward approach. We strive to demystify techniques, not overcomplicate them. Our well known maxim, “Less is more…” indicates we believe there is no merit to the “…another tool in the toolbox…” philosophy. Rather, our curriculum is influenced by the principle of Hick’s Law resulting in a reduction of reaction time under duress by intentionally limiting alternatives.
